About me…

As an infographics specialist, I bring 24 years of experience working on national newspapers. Currently, I hold the position of Head of Graphics at The Sun, News UK. Throughout my career, I have worked with various prestigious titles, including The Sunday Times, News of the World, Observer, and Telegraph. Additionally, I serve as the infographics lead at The Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE), a Home Office department dedicated to solving public safety and security challenges posed by rapidly evolving digital and data technologies.

My journey began at Newcastle College, where I studied information graphics and newspaper design. In 1999, I made my way to Fleet Street, immersing myself in the dynamic world of journalism. In recent years, my focus has been on transforming a traditional newspaper graphics team into a digital-first department that oversees the production of both print and digital content across all departments in the UK and US. Our work has encompassed a wide range of significant events and topics, including Grenfell, referendums, the Manchester Arena attack, Trump, Brexit, elections, Olympics, World Cups, and most recently, the passing of The Queen. Furthermore, I have had the privilege of contributing to projects for Channel 4's 'Second Screen' Dispatches app, where I held the role of infographics editor.

I am always eager to learn about exciting new ideas and initiatives. Feel free to reach out to me with any intriguing concepts you may have.
